President Trump Welcomes Loved Ones of Attacked Military Soldiers to White House

President Trump stated on the weekend that he has asked the family of a Guard member tragically killed last week to visit the presidential home.

He mentioned that he spoke to her family and they were “heartbroken”.

Information on the Devastating Shooting

Soldier Sarah Beckstrom, twenty years old, was lost her life in a attack on Wednesday in DC.

Her colleague, Andrew Wolfe, twenty-four years old, is still in the hospital in critical condition.

Gatherings across West Virginia have occurred in their honor.

White House Offer

The commander-in-chief stated he’s discussed a White House visit for the parents of both soldiers of the state National Guard.

“I told them: ‘When you’re able, because that’s a hard experience, come to the White House. We’re going to pay tribute to Sarah,” the president addressed journalists. “And in the same way with Andrew, recover or not.”

Public Support

Attendees gathered over the weekend at the high school in West Virginia to honor Sarah.

Both the soldiers had been serving with the state guard as part of Trump’s national effort to support public safety in DC.

Remembering Beckstrom

“Sarah was the type of pupil that educators wished for. She behaved with quiet strength, a warm expression and a optimistic attitude that lifted those around her,” Jarrod Hankins, the principal of her previous school, informed the Associated Press. “She was caring, considerate and always ready to assist people.”

Service details for Beckstrom are yet to be finalized.

Legal Actions and Government Revisions

Law enforcement have charged a twenty-nine-year-old suspect with one count of first-degree murder and charges of violent assault while carrying a weapon.

The tragedy led the Trump administration to suspend asylum applications and cease issuing visas to owners of travel documents.

Condition of Wolfe

Wolfe, a native of the city, began his service in early 2019 and is a 2019 graduate of Musselman High, as reported by the AP.

He continues to receive treatment and is “in a critical fight”, the state’s leader Morrisey stated on television.

The state’s top lawyer Bondi told Fox News Sunday that she aimed to visit the family.

Memory of the Fallen Soldier

Sarah, from Summersville, graduated from her high school in 2023 and began her service not long after, serving as a military police officer with honor, as stated by the military.

“She had a lot of kindness and she definitely had bravery,” Morrisey informed the crowd at the service. “Though her time was cut short, she has made an impact that’s going to be remembered always.”
